Chris Ellis' surgery today is season-ending. He underwent arthroscopic shoulder surgery today in Texas to clean up his right rotator cuff and labrum.
Brandon Hyde isn't sure if the O's could move to a six-man rotation at some point, when more arms later come up.

OUTSIDE THE AL EAST
Robinson Cano was designated for assignment by the Mets. It is kind of a shocker but there is no doubt that he can help another team. The Mets will most likely pay him for the season to play in another uniform.
