If you were expecting San Diego Padres Fernando Tatis Jr. for the home stretch for your Fantasy Baseball playoffs. Think again. Tatis was suspended 80 games yesterday after testing positive for the performance enhancing drug Colstebol. Tatis was nearing the end of his rehab assignment from a Broken wrist that he apparently suffered in a motorcycle accident in the Dominican Republic back in December when he got the news.
Fernando Tatis Jr tested positive for Clostebol, a drug used to treat osteoporosis, anorexia and liver disease. The suspension is 80 games but he’s now marked for life.

Tatis released a statement claiming via MLBPA that he “inadvertently” took a medication containing Clostebol to treat a case of “ringworm.” ( yea pull this leg) The shortstop said ” he should have checked to see if the medication contained a banned substance and apologized to the Padres and the rest of baseball.

Clostebol is a synthetic androgenic anabolic steroid that has popped up in MLB in the Past. Both Dee Strange-Gordon and Freddy Galvis. were suspended for its juice i mean use. Of course Like Tatis, both players denied knowingly taking the steroid.
Billy, this is Fernando Tatis Jr. He’s a shortstop. He is one of the most underrated players in baseball. His only defect is that he took steroids to treat ringworm. pic.twitter.com/JcAs5kMxaw

The Padres were bleeding to get Tatis back into their lineup. after a sweep by the Dodgers and poor showing in San Francisco. they felt it was only a matter of time before they got right for the playoffs with a lineup that would boast Tatis, Manny Machado and newly acquired Juan Soto. Now that dream will have to wait until 2023. Tatis will miss the final 43 games this season and the first 37 games of 2023. Any playoff games the Padres play this year will not count against his time in the penalty box…. Sorry Dave
Had Tatis Jr. stashed on the DL all year, ready to add to my first-place fantasy team. I’m just weeping now.
