• The Memphis Grizzles overcame a double-digit deficit in the 4th quarter to take their 1st round series in game 6 on Friday night. Memphis beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 116-104. Desmond Bane and Dillon Brooks each scored 23 points, Jaren Jackson had 18 points. The Grizzles will face the Golden State Warriors in the 2nd round. Game 1 will be in Memphis.


  • Philadelphia 76er’s all-star big man Joel Embiid is out indefinitely with a right orbital fracture and a concussion. He left Thursdays game 6 victory late in the 4th quarter after an accidental elbow from Pascal Siakam. He will miss a minimum of 5 days with concussion protocol.


  • The Milwaukee Bucks are not offering any new information on when 3-time all-star Khris Middleton will return. They initially said 2 weeks which would have him missing the 1st 2 games of the 2nd round series vs the Boston Celtics that is set to begin Sunday afternoon in Boston. Middleton has been out since April 20th with an MCL sprain.

  • Travis Demeritte, Atlanta Braves right-fielder, had an inside-the-park homerun helping Atlanta take the win over the Texas Rangers 6-3 on Friday. William Contreras hit 2 exceptionally long home runs and Austin Riley also connected.


  • The New York Yankees win their 7th straight after beating the Kansas City Royals 12-2 on Friday. Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Anthony Rizzo and Gleyber Torres all homered for New York. It was a 1 run game going into the 7th-inning when the Yankees put in a 4-run 7th-inning and a 5-run 8th-inning. Game was called at the end of the 8th.




  • The NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs are set. The NHL released schedules for all 8 round 1 matchups following the conclusion of the regular season on Friday night. (with the exception of the non-impactful Seattle Kraken vs Winnipeg Jets game on Saturday.
