  • Boston Celtics forward, Jayson Tatum, has a spectacular game 6. Stepping up big when it counts with 46 points and 9 rebounds. The Celtics held off Giannis Antetokounmpo’s brilliant performance of 44 points and 20 rebounds beating the Milwaukee Bucks 108-95 and sending the series to a winner-takes-all game 7 in Boston on Sunday night.

 

  • Klay Thompson knocked down 8 –  3 pointers, scoring 30 points. Stephen Curry scored 29 with 6 3s, and the Golden State Warriors finish off the Memphis Grizzlies with a 110-96 win in Game 6 on Friday night. Western Conferance Finals is the next stop for Golden State. They will face the winner of the Phoenix Suns vs Dallas Mavericks series, which goes to its game 7 on Sunday in Phoenix.

 

 

NHL

  •  Chris Kreider and Mika Zibanejad each scored 2 goals a piece and lifted the New York Rangers over the Pittsburg Penguins 5-3. They force a Game 7 in New York. The Rangers are looking to advance in the playoffs for the 1st time since 2017. They will get the opportunity thanks to the play of Kreider and Zibanejad, 4 assists from Adam Fox and 31 saves by Igor Shesterkin.

 

  • The Florida Panthers beat the Washington Capitals 4-3 in OT Friday night to win Game 6 and end the series.  Florida will face either, back-to-back defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning or the Toronto Maple Leafs in the next round. Tampa and Toronto face off in Game 7 of that series Saturday.

 

  • Miro Heiskanen scored the go-ahead goal late in the 2nd period helping the Dallas Stars recover after blowing an early 2-goal lead. Dallas went on to beat the Calgary Flames 4-2 on Friday night to force a deciding Game 7 in their 1st-round Western Conference series.

  • The Houston Astros continue their winning streak to 11 games with a 6-1 win over the Washington Nationals on Friday night. Jose Altuve hit a homerun on the 1st pitch of the game. Yordan Alvarez and Yuli Gurriel joined in and also went over the wall.

 

  • Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer was pulled from Friday’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays after attempting a leaping catch and colliding with the center-field wall in the 2nd inning.

 

  • 11th-roud draft pick Chase Silseth gave up just one hit in 6 strong innings while becoming the 1st player from last year’s draft to make his major league debut, leading the Los Angeles Angels to a 2-0 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Friday night.
