Hello AEW fans, today we will look at the results of recent AEW shows, Riho vs. Ruby Soho, The Hardys vs. The Young Bucks, Hikaru Shida/AEW, and Candice LeRae/AEW.

Shawn Spears defeated Bear Boulder

Ruby Soho defeated Riho in an “Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament First Round” match

AEW TNT Champion Scorpio Sky (w/ Dan Lambert & Ethan Page) defeated Frankie Kazarian

Great match by Riho and Ruby Soho. They are both very talented, and Soho is a wrestler who any promotion should want to have on their roster as at least a top midcarder. I expect her to make it to the final round of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

This episode did well in viewership, with 340,000 viewers.

MORE AEW

We are slowly getting closer to seeing The Hardys vs. The Young Bucks in AEW.

Hikaru Shida was removed from the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, and she later stated that it was due to missing a doctor check.

There is speculation that a visa problem may have been involved, which would not be surprising considering the fact that traveling has been an obstacle for international talents since the pandemic began. In any case, Hikaru Shida is the top female in AEW, both in terms of talent and drawing power. So I’m sure that she would have won the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament and that the potential for another run as AEW Women’s World Champion is high. So I look forward to when Shida returns soon, as it will benefit both AEW and Shida.

There has been talk about Candice LeRae going to AEW, with the rumor being that there are people in power who want her to be there. I think AEW would be a good place for LeRae, and I think fans would enjoy seeing her have matches with wrestlers on the roster such as Ruby Soho (who LeRae tag teamed with in the Illinois-based AAW) and Toni Storm (again). However, I’m not sure that LeRae is interested in working for another major company, at least not right now. The entire time she was in WWE, it was as a member of NXT’s roster during the Triple H era, where wrestlers had more freedom than they would on the main rosters. And for over 10 years before that, she wrestled independently for a variety of promotions. If LeRae is used to having a lot of freedom, I think there is a higher probability of her making her return to the ring in the Florida-based SHINE than AEW. Although I have read that there are wrestlers in AEW who have a lot of freedom as well.
