• The Boston Celtics finished the sweep tonight at Barclay center, winning game 4 against the pre-season playoff favorite Brooklyn Nets 116-112. Jayson Tatum contributed a team high of 29 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists before fouling out in the 4th. Jaylen Brown had 22 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists. Defensive Player of the Year, Marcus Smart put up 20points, 5 rebounds and 11 assists. Kevin Durant led the Nets with 39 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Brooklyn struggled immensely on the free-throw line making just 17 of 29 attempts.  The Celtics move on to the 2nd round and will face the winner of the 1st round series between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Chicago Bulls.


  • The Toronto Raptors have managed to take the last 2 do-or-die games against the Philadelphia 76er’s, winning Monday night 103-88. Pascal Siakum gives 23 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists and helps send the series back home to Toronto for game 6. Joel Embiid had 20 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists in Philadelphia’s losing effort.


  • Luka Doncic played in his 1st home playoff game since coming back from a calf injury, he scored 33 points had 13 rebounds and 5 assists. The Dallas Mavericks trounced the Utah Jazz 102-77 on Monday night and took the 3-2 lead in the series. Jordon Clarkson was Utah’s leading scorer with just 20 points and 4 rebounds. Game 6 will be Thursday night in Salt Lake City.

  • Los Angeles Dodgers right-hander Walker Buehler threw his 1st career complete game shutout. Buehler gave up just 3 hits, 1 walk and struck out 10, retiring 15 straight batters in and incredible run from the 4th-inning to the 9th-inning. The Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-0.


  • Luis González hit his first major league homerun, a 2-run shot with 2 outs in the 9th-inning that gave the San Francisco Giants the win over the Milwaukee Brewers 4-2 on Monday night.




  • Alex Ovechkin left Sundays game against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 3rd period with an upper-body injury. Washington Capitals as of Monday saying he has avoided significant injury and is day-to-day at this point.


  • Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner will undergo season-ending shoulder surgery, the team confirmed Monday. He sustained the injury on February 9th.


  • Dryden McKay was named the NCAA’s top men’s hockey player on April 8th. The goaltender set a record for wins in a season and helped the Minnesota State-Mankato make it to the national championship game. The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed the reigning Hobey Baker Award winner to a 2-year AHL contract.
