Patriots fans have been waiting for over ten years to finally see their team back in one of their most iconic uniforms in franchise history. When it was announced they would be allowed to bring their throwbacks back this season, the excitement in New England was palpable.
A few months after the original announcement was made, the Patriots would take to their Twitter to announce two of the games in which the team will be outfitted in their alternates.

The dates chosen were October 9th against the Detroit Lions and December 1st when the Buffalo Bills come to Foxboro. Because the NFL limited each team to wear their alternate uniforms to just three times this season, the Patriots may reveal another date at some point. And there are quite a few good options left for them to choose from.
Should they choose another divisional opponent and go with their October 30th game against the New York Jets? Or their final game against the Dolphins on January 1st? Regardless of what they choose, (if they do, really), it’ll be really fun to see the uniforms on the field again so long after they were last worn.
Also within the announcement contained some fun participation for fans in determining how the stadium will look on those game days. It adds an even more fun element to go with the comeback of the uniforms.
