  • Game 3 was frantic down to the last second ending in the Boston Celtics falling just short of sending it to overtime losing to the Milwaukee Bucks 103-101. Giannis Antetokounmpo bounced back from his sub-par performance scoring 42-points in Saturdays matchup. Jaylen Brown led the way for the Celtics with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Game 4 is Monday night in Milwaukee.

 

  • Stephen Curry scored 30 points, Klay Thompson had 21 and 9 rebounds as the Golden State Warriors muffled Ja Morant’s supporting cast and dominated the Memphis Grizzlies 142-112 on Saturday night. Morant scored 34 points before leaving with a tender right knee with 6:19 left to play in the 4th quarter. Golden State now leads the series 2-1. Game 4 is Monday night.

  • Alex Ovechkin scored on the power play and assisted on T.J. Oshie’s power-play goal. Marcus Johansson, Trevor van Riemsdyk, Garnet Hathaway and John Carlson all contributed a goal for the Capitals as well. The Washington Capitals routed the Florida Panthers 6-1 in Game 3 on Saturday. Jonathan Huberdeau scored Floridas only goal. Washington leads the series 2-1, Game 4 is Monday.

 

  • Gabriel Landeskog scored 2 goals in the second period, and the top-seeded Colorado Avalanche beat the Nashville Predators 7-3 Saturday for a commanding 3-0 lead in their first-round series. The Avalanche lost goalie Darcy Kuemper late in the first period, Pavel Francouz replaced him and made 18 saves in his 7th career playoff appearance.

 

  • Pittsburgh surged past the New York Rangers 7-4 on Saturday night to take a 2-1 lead in their first-round series. Evan Rodrigues and Jeff Carter both scored 2 goals each. Brock McGinn, Jake Guentzel and Danton Heinen all contributed 1 as well. Game 4 is Monday night.

 

  • Joe Pavelski scored a pair of goals and got the game-winner on the 1st power-play goal in the series for Dallas. Jake Oettinger had 39 saves, Roope Hintz and Radek Faksa each contributed 1 as the wild-card Stars won 4-2 on Saturday night to take a 2-1 series lead over the Pacific Division champion Calgary Flames. Game 4 is Monday night in Dallas.

  •  Wilmer Flores hit a grand slam in the 1st-inning, matching his career high with 6 RBIs. The San Francisco Giants beat the St. Louis Cardinals 13-7 Saturday night to end a 5-game losing streak.

 

  • Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Andrew McCutchen tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, he returned to the team hotel in Atlanta and was placed on the COVID-19 injured list.
