• Joe Burrow, quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals, returned to practice on Sunday after undergoing an appendectomy at the beginning of training camp. Head coach Zac Taylor was happy with his performance and said after practice:

“I thought he looked good. It’s good to get him involved. He did some individual, some 7-on-7’s , so that’s a good step in the right direction. We talked about doing 2 reps in 7-on-7 (drills), and then he took 10.”


  • Atlanta Falcons rookie Drake London will miss practice for the week as the result of a right knee injury. However, it is not anticipated that he will miss any significant amount time. London was hurt in the Falcons’ preseason opener against the Detroit Lions. He went out on the very 1st series after catching a 24-yard pass.


  • The Las Vegas Raiders moved to 2-0 this preseason after beating the Minnesota Vikings 26-20 on Sunday. Jarrett Stidham, was the starting quarterback for Las Vegas and completed 10 of his 15 passes for 68 yards. He also ran for 16 yards on 4 carries and a touchdown. Nick Mullens completed 7 out of 9 passes for 94 yards and 1 touchdown. The Raiders head to Miami to face the Dolphins on Saturday and Minnesota will be at home against the 49er’s.




  • The Memphis Grizzlies will square off against the Golden State Warriors as part of the NBA’s Christmas Day lineup. Other note worthy matchups of the day include the Los Angeles Lakers against the Dallas Mavericks and the Milwaukee Bucks will battle the Boston Celtics.


  • The defending champion Golden State Warriors are set to receive their championship rings at the NBA 2022-2023 season opening game on October 18th against the Los Angeles Lakers.




  • After throwing 8 spectacularly perfect innings Drew Rasmussen lost his bid at a perfect game on the very 1st pitch of the 9th inning, giving up a double down the left field line. The Tampa Bay Rays went on to beat the Baltimore Orioles 4-1.


  • The last place Red Sox managed to overtake the AL East leading New York Yankees 3-0 on Sunday night. Michael Wacha gave up just 2 singles in 7 innings in his 1st outing since returning from 7 weeks off with a shoulder injury.


  • The Los Angeles Dodgers 12 game win streak came to a screeching halt on Sunday when the Kansas City Royals shut them out winning 4-0. The Royals managed to hold LA to just 2 hits.


  •  Albert Pujols sent 2 over the wall, one of which took the cake for his longest of the season at 443 feet. Miles Mikolas pitched 8 solid innings, bot helping the St. Louis Cardinals take the win over the Milwaukee Brewers 6-3 on Sunday.
