• The Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly discussing a potential deal that would swap guards Kyrie Irving and Russell Westbrook. Both sides are hopeful to come to a mutual agreement during this offseason.


  • Point guard Goran Dragic was has agreed to a 1-year deal worth $2.9 million with the Chicago Bulls. Dragic was originally traded to the Toronto Raptors last offseason in the Kyle Lowry trade.


  • Star guard Darius Garland and the Cleveland Cavaliers came to terms on a 5-year, $193 million max designated rookie contract extension. The deal could possibly be worth up to $231 million if Garland can make 1 of the 3 All-NBA teams in each of the 5 seasons.


  • Zion Williamsons agent told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that he has agreed to a 5-year, $193-million maximum contract extension with the New Orleans Pelicans. With additional incentives in the contract it could possibly be worth up $231 million.




  • The Tampa Bay Lightning have traded defenseman Ryan McDonagh to the Nashville Predators for Philippe Myers and Grant Mismash, both teams made the announcement on Sunday. Ben Hankinson, McDonagh’s agent said:” It’s tough, he’s been there 4 years, won a couple Cups, been to (the Cup Final) 3 years in a row. All of a sudden, to be told, ‘You’re not coming back, it’s a business decision, we can’t have you back,’ it’s hard for him to accept that. There’s the emotional connection and the business side of it. It took what seemed like forever, only 3 or 4 days, but they wanted to move forward. He’s heard from every single member of the (Lightning). Crushing.”


  • The Winnipeg Jets have officially hired Rick Bowness as their new head coach. Bowness stepped down as the Dallas Stars bench boss in May after just 3 seasons. He has a deep history coaching in the NHL, the 67 year old’s coaching career began in 1988.




  • The Houston Astros struck out 20 Los Angeles Angels batters. Mike Trout’s slump continued, he went 0-11 with 9 strike outs in the 3 game series. Houston completed the series sweep on Sunday with the 4-2 win.


  • The Cleveland Guardians threw a combined 1-hitter shutout against the New York Yankees beating them 2-0 on Sunday. This was just the 7th loss in 32 games for New York. Franmil Reyes knocked in both runs for Cleveland, homering in the 4th inning and coming in clutch with an RBI single in the 8th.


  • The Colorado Rockies rallied and beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-5. C.J. Cron with an impressive contribution to the win. Smashing two 3 run homers, the 2nd one being in the 8th inning and gave them the lead.
