  • Klay Thompson led the charge for the Golden State Warriors with 32 points lifting them to a game 5 victory over the Dallas Mavericks 120-110. The Warriors advance to their 6th NBA Finals in the last 8 seasons. Andrew Wiggins, Draymond Green, Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole were all within 2 points of eachother and provided a great supporting cast. Luka Doncic had 28 points in Dallas losing effort. The Mavericks lost the series 4-1.

  • Vincent Trocheck scored a short-handed goal, Teuvo Teravainen had a power-play score, Andrei Svechnikov also scored, and the Carolina Hurricanes beat the New York Rangers 3-1 on Thursday night to take a 3-2 lead in the second-round series.

 

  • Connor McDavid scored at 5:03 in OT and the Edmonton Oilers beat the Calgary Flames 5-4 on Thursday night closing out the series and moving on to the Western Conference Finals. Zach Hyman had a goal and 2 assists, Darnell Nurse, Jesse Puljujarvi and Evan Bouchard also scored for the Oilers. Mike Smith made 32 saves. Edmonton will face the winner of the Colorado Avalanche and St Louis Blues series.
