  • The Memphis Grizzles make a huge comeback, dominating the 4th quarter outscoring the Minnesota Timberwolves 37-12. Desmond Bane was on top for the Grizzles on Thursday night with 26 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists. Memphis takes game 3, 104-95 and leads the series 2-1. Game 4 is Saturday night.

 

  • The Dallas Mavericks guard, Jalen Brunson led the way with 31 points while playing with a bruised back. Despite still missing Luka Doncic the Mavericks beat the Utah Jazz 126-118. Dallas leads the series 2-1 going into game 4 on Saturday in Salt Lake City.

 

  • Stephen Curry and Jordon Poole both scored 27 points and Klay Thompson hit six 3-pointers, scoring 26 points as the Golden State Warriors push through to beat the Denver Nuggets 118-113 and give the Warriors a 3-0 lead in this 1st round series. The Nuggets are backed against the wall in a must win game 4 on Sunday.

  • Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman held the Boston Red Sox scoreless through 8-innings on Thursday. Gausman struck out 8 and walked none before giving up a lead-off single to Trevor Story. Blue Jays held on and won 3-2

 

  • Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jon Gray will go on the injured list on Friday after suffering a left-knee sprain on Tuesday night. The MRI came back as a low-grade MCL sprain. The Rangers are hopeful Gray will only miss 1 start.

 

  • The Detroit Tigers DH Miguel Cabrera is one hit away from joining the 3,000 hit club. The Tigers were leading the New York Yankees 1-0 in the bottom of the 8th-inning when Cabrera came to the plate, the Yankees intentionally walked him with 2-outs to load the bases. That brought up outfielder Austin Meadows who hit a 2-out single that scored 2 runs. Tigers win 3-0.

  • The Calgary Flames clinch the top spot in the Pacific Division with a 4-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Thursday night. This is the Flames 8th division title in franchise history, only the 3rd in the last 27 years.

 

  • Steven Stamkos became Tampa Bay Lightnings all-time leading scorer after scoring his 34th goal of this season giving him 954 points in his career. Tampa beat the Toronto Maple Leafs 8-1 on Thursday night.

 

  • The Pittsburg Penguins Jake Guentzel pulls off the hat trick and Casey DeSmith, who stepped in for injured starter Tristan Jarry, has a career-high 52 saves in the Penguins shut-out 4-0 victory over the Boston Bruins.
