•  The NFL has suspended Buffalo Bills backup offensive lineman Bobby Hart for 1 game. The decision came a day after he took a swing at a Titans player but instead ended up hitting a Tennessee coach in the head following the Bills 41-7 win.


  • There are 9 first-year eligible players that have been picked among the 129 nominees for the 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame. Those 9 are: offensive lineman Joe Thomas, cornerback Darrelle Revis, pass rusher Dwight Freeney, running back Chris Johnson, offensive lineman Jahri Evans, linebackers NaVorro Bowman and James Harrison, defensive back Kam Chancellor and punter Shane Lechler.


  • Buffalo Bills cornerback Dane Jackson was released from the hospital on Tuesday after undergoing tests that determined that he did not suffer any major injuries to his neck or spinal cord. Jackson was struck by a teammate in their 41-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Monday night. The Bills have not provided any further details of the extent of Jackson’s injuries except to say he was undergoing further evaluation.




  • Boston Celtics center Robert Williams is expected to miss 4-to-6 weeks as a result of having an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee. Williams will undergo the procedure Thursday. He’s expected to return early in the regular season but will unfortunately miss training camp and preseason.


  • The NBA has announced the punishment for Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards for his use of “offensive and derogatory language”. Edwards was fined $40,000.


  • The Boston Celtics painted Bill Russell’s No. 6 in the free throw lanes on their parquet floor as just 1 part of a season-long tribute for the Hall of Famer. The legend passed away on July 31st. The NBA has also announced that every team will retire the No.6 in Russell’s honor as well.




  • The New York Yankees star outfielder smashed his 60th home run in the 9th inning of Tuesday’s game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. The homerun puts Judge into a tie with Babe Ruth for the 2nd-most in a single season in Yankees history. He is now only 1 behind Roger Maris’ team record of 61.


  • The Atlanta Braves are headed to the postseason for a 5th straight season after beating the Washington Nationals 3-2 on Tuesday.
